“I wanted to get myself out there in the YouTube world making my own renditions of popular songs. “My need for validation in something that I was good at first motivated me to produce more music,” said Kim in an email interview with The Korea Herald. Now breathing fresh life into and further expanding the growing popularity of song mashing is Korean-Canadian YouTube sensation Daniel Kim, who is best known in the online community for his annual “Pop Danthology” year-end productions.
